Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Petition
Help Tim get September named Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Canada by signing the petition.
- Cancer is the number #1 disease killer of Canadian children killing more children between the ages of one and 18 than asthma, diabetes, cystic fibrosis and AIDS combined.
- Every school day, about 10 children in Canada are diagnosed with cancer – about 1,500 per year.
- More than 10,000 infants, children, and adolescence are currently being treated for childhood cancers in one of Canada’s 17 pediatric hospitals and treatment centers.
- One in every four children who get cancer will die of the disease.
We, the undersigned, respectfully now call on the Government of Canada to proclaim September National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month as it is through much of the world.
